The Faith and The Mommy

Hello all!! After the last post life has been going fast! So let me get started. With me I have a new, really short, hair cut and a new tattoo. My tattoo is on my back, at the top, it is not as big as it looks in the picture. It is the Chinese symbol for Faith and gotcha day 12-17-07.

The pool opened on May 24, and the water was COLD!!! She would not get in much at first but eventually she did get in. She has done good since then. She has swim lessons July 7 - July 11. For now she likes to jump in and likes to be in the water but she has to hold on to you while she is in the water.

Faith has had the most changes. She had to have her front tooth pulled. It had been chipped before she came to live with me, and they think that what ever trauma caused the chip caused the tooth to abscess. So...it was either $500 for a root canal or pull it. So we pulled it. She was a little up set that she could not go to the pool after, but it was okay.

Currently we are at the beach. It has been an interesting trip so far. We started out staying in my half -sister, Debbie's place just out side of Holden Beach. We got down here on Wednesday afternoon, with our cousin Jan and her grandson Andrew. After going to eat, and dropping them off at their place, we headed to Debbie's. We got there, and I started to get Faith's bed ready. Well, as I pulled back the pillows....THERE WAS THE BIGGEST UGLIEST WATER BUG!!! you have ever seen! Yes there was a BUG in her bed!! That freaked me and my mom out and at that point we could not bring our selves to stay there. And I could not let Faith sleep in a bed that the bug had been in. So we called Jan and they let us stay there. And that is were we will be staying until Sunday when we come home. Faith has been funny on the beach. She does not like to get dirty. She will not walk to the water, you have to carry her. She sits in the chair with her feet up to play in the sand, she didn't want to get her butt sandy. Finally today she did sit down in the sand to play with her bucket. We have been out to eat evening and so far she has eaten nothing but potatoes. Tomorrow we are going to Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach to see Karrie and her kids.
